SUCCESSFUL PREMIERE THEATRE IN VALPARAISO
This Friday May 25, 2007, in the Andes room Mauri Cultural Center Theater, will premiere this new regional theater production entitled "The handles of Cain", the Cuban playwright and 2002 national prize for literature in this country, Abelardo Estorino.
The premiere was held with a broad framework of public and well received. The work lasted approximately 47 minutes. The excellent technical ground that the Andes has theater for theatrical performances.
This assembly is in charge of the theater company "Prekario" and its functions will be extended until Saturday June 23, 2007, from Thursday to Saturday at 20:30 hrs. Cuban drama
IN VALPARAISO
Abelardo Estorino is one of the most important Cuban playwrights and prolific of recent times. Born in Union de Reyes (Matanzas) in 1925. He is the author of classic works in the Cuban scene as theft of pig, die in the story and vague rumors. In 1961 wins the contest Houses of the Americas with the work written for theater theft the pig.
His works are represented in Chile, Spain, England and the United States.
His drama is characterized in that the characters speak in the scene as people everyday. Estorino, who also owns the National Prize for Literature in 1992, has become an author needed to Cuban theater. He was awarded the Order Felix Varela in 1995 and The National Theatre Award 2002.
Los Mangos of Cain, written in 1965, is metaphor for the history of why Abel was murdered by his brother, plus the strange relationship between Eva and their children and the intrusive presence of God in the most unexpected moments.

gives us a little masterpiece, full of caustic humor, who runs meticulous realism and escapes into the realms of the parody and myth. A one-act play, bright and brief, concise and effective parliament, traveled by an intense mood, sometimes corrosive, with a distressing irony that borders on sarcasm, and where the characters are built with quick strokes, accurate, they are fabulous (in the first meaning of the word), and at the same time deeply human. PreKario Theater is a drama group formed graduates by actors to drama school at the University of the Sea With a short but intense career, where research and experimentation are key part of his creative process, the company has developed his poetic themes linked to social and authors reflect that trend.
His works are: "Schweyk World War II" the German playwright Bertold Brecht, which was performed successfully in different venues throughout the region.
"Fidel / 1971" is the name of the second group's proposal, which is a collective creation inspired by the visit of Fidel Castro held in Chile in 1971. This work was created with records news compiled from that visit, where evidence of workers and university students reflect socio-political conditions that existed at the time of your visit. Theatre
