On April 26 we had another business of environmental education in the classroom, in this case 6th grade A school No.78 by the teacher who invited us Samara Jardim to share our experience in Corner franchising " because they are working on the issue Ecosystems. It is remarkable what they were told that students and interest shown throughout the lecture. We ended the activity with a visit to "Environmental Protection Area" , where they could evacuate doubts and walk through one of the trails. Congratulations to the group.

Development of a Comprehensive Development Plan Corner franchise (Artigas)

Background:
In the area of \u200b\u200bthe mouth of the River Uruguay Cuareim, near Bella Union, Artigas, has been running since 2007 a building project Protected Natural Area and a linear park that connects the coastal strip between the area and the city of Bella Union.
The project aims to preserve biodiversity, enjoyment of the environment, promoting environmental education and the development of sustainable tourism. Management of Protected Area Linear Park and takes place in a participatory way through an Honorary Committee composed of local, state and civil society through GRUPAMA.
The agreement signed with the ART - UNDP will be carried out actions to strengthen the area and meet the above objectives, which is essential to have a management plan and financial sustainability. On the other hand, have begun formal procedures for entering corner franchise in the National System of Protected Areas, for which the plan is an essential input.
Therefore, under the project "Strengthening the Protected Area Corner franchise, funded ART Program - UNDP from the Diputación de Huelva, Spain , the Environmental Protection Group Turns ( GRUPAMA ) Bella Union, calls consulting firms (including civil society organizations) interested in developing a Comprehensive Development Plan and Financial Sustainability Strategy Area, including a comprehensive protection plan for specific support the ecosystem of the Triple Border .
Objectives:
- Develop a participatory Plan Protected Area Municipal, in order to reconcile the public use of the same to the conservation of biodiversity.
- Design a strategy for sustainability Protected Area Municipal financial medium term.

The result of the work must obtain the consent of the Committee on Municipal Management of Protected Area and Linear Park Corner of franchise "and its legitimization through workshops involving the residents of the area.

Team profile :
The consultant (including civil society organizations) must have a background in tourism development. Within the team of consultants to submit, should involve at least one expert in biodiversity and sustainable tourism. It must have proven experience in local development. Work Inputs for :
The selected firm will provide all studies Corner franchise through GRUPAMA agreements with UDELAR and URUGUAY BIRD, as well as other work made in the area (MNHN - SNAP).

Payment:
30% on delivery and approval of the first product
50% on delivery and approval of the second product
20% upon delivery and approval of the third product
